Final game of the season

Am also glad that the game is on the saturday but am puzzled that as the last day of the season has been on a sunday for a number of years that this season bbc/sky need it to be moved for them to show the games.

Man United/Chelsea is scheduled that weekend and Arse/United is the week before. Maybe they want that game as the Sunday one.

IIRC, fixture clashes were not uncommon a few years ago when we were at Filbo - usually us at 3pm them at 5.30 - admittedly in those days we'd only be getting the capacity 22000 (well, occasionally, anyhoo) and 10-12000 at Welford Road. Could be anything up to 50000 at the two games in May. The early leavers will be completely buggered in the gridlock, that's for sure.

Sky always have a Premier game on the same Sunday as the last day of the Championship anyway.
Maybe they want two Premier games this year because they're so much more important...

Is TV money really to blame? Surely the last games of the season would have been on TV regardless. They have been in previous years.

I understand that the Championship games were moved as the BBC are showing one of them, and they didn't want a clash with the Turkish Grand Prix.
