I'm not surprised at the size of the fine, considering we have been done for the same thing in the past. It was just for the fracas at the time of the Maybury sending-off; nothing to do with anything the crowd might have sung. QPR have said that they are appealing; City, as mentioned in the article, are writing to the FA for some clarification on the matter. I suppose any decision on whether to appeal would then be based on what is contained in the clarification.

Personally I think we should pay the fine and get on with it. We have a poor disciplinary record which is slowly improving. It would be nice however if people like Alan Maybury would learn their lesson rather than trying to start off more such scraps, as he did in the SheffUtd game.
