I have converted to firefox, but I can't post on talkingballs! :icon_sad:
I have to use IE for that :102:
Can anyone help?

I've heard about it before but didn't get round to installing it. This thread has just persuaded me to download it (don't know if that means webbo gets any commission :icon_wink )

Out of interest, from a practical perspective what really makes it better than IE? I mean from my simplistic view I can read internet pages and do everything I need to through IE so how much better can it be?

I used Netscape for years when it was good out of 'principle', but I have no major beef with how IE works.

I never underastand the FireFox thing. Don't like it one bit.

Depends what you want from a browser.

I'm always using lots of sites at the same time, and can have 20+ web pages open at once. IE is not the most user friendly when you have that many pages open, and it's prone to crashing.
Firefox's tabbed browsing makes having multiple pages open much easier.
It's also better at handling bookmarks and has lots of useful plug-ins.

Cool. Not tried the tabbed browsing, might give it another go.

You tried the IE 7 beta? They've finally got round to tabbing. Still 'orrible though! I use firefox, or Opera. The damn annoying thing is I do alot of web design in my job so I have to test browser compatibilty as most still use IE.
