We're really lacking in firepower now that KP and Tres are both out. I think Nixon will have better days and biff some runs later in the series. Flintoff seems to be on form at 6 but our main problems are 1-5, too many nurdlers and not enough 6 hitters.

It is also important that if a player gets a start then they have to make them count and not get out for 20, 30 or 40.

Bowling wise, I think we should give Tremlett a go. I'm surprised we went for Monty ahead of him.

Shocking game for Nixon so far, he was out for a duck and now Australia are batting he's having a bad time behind the stumps. Dived for one wide and got a glove to it but it went for four, now he's just let one through his legs

Gutted for him. He's so enthusiastic and professional, but he obviously was nervous. Hope the selector's aren't so short-sighted to bring Read back after just 1 game :icon_roll
