Pre season training starts on Monday when MA says he wants everything ready for his return.
Not only are we short of players, we dont even have a first team coach do we?
 
Whoever trains them, better train them hard. They have been under-worked and undertrained and thus not fit enough for a long time.
 
Why, oh why do people always trot out the name 'Steve Walsh' when the job of coach comes up with the club? Steve Walsh has been out of the game for years now. He's trying to make some money in the sun in Spain. He doesn't seem to have the slightest intention or inclination to become a football coach. If he had, then surely he would have done something about getting some training badges by now. As he hasn't I think we can/shouldmust assume that he doesn;t want to be a coach and get on with the job of finding somebody that does.

Similarly with Taggs - what makes people think he has all of the skills needed by a first-team coach.

Let's get real!

taggs has clearly stated he is doing all of the badges needed to become a coach as it is what he wants to do. I also think the guy would fit right in with MA's style of management.

Im not one for making stupid reccomendations but i do feel taggs would be good in a coaching capacity at the club. Not walsh though.

Whilst agreeing with you Boc, I'd say the difference is Walshie hasn't tried/bothered etc, but at least Taggs is putting the work in..Whether he'd be any good, of course - only time will tell......

But in any case, neither are anywhere near experienced enough to be *the* first-team coach.

Fixed it for you :icon_wink

I would be happy for Tags to have a go at the role. Particularly i think he would do well organising the defence. MA was a midfielder (according to wiki?) so Tags input in that area could be useful. It would also be nice to have someone 'natural' to work with the strikers.
