Hi,

I'm a Dutch guy who regularly visits football games in England. Together with a friend of mine I want to visit all 92 football league grounds, but at a slow rate. As we're living in Holland we cross the North sea only a few times a year. Our reviews of the visited grounds are collected on our website - The Ray Wilson Project

On the 13th of Septemer we'd like to visit your game against Millwall. Which stand do you recommend us as far as home upport is concerned? And which pub is a nice one for a pre-match pint?

Hope to hear from you soon,
Gert.

Hi Gert

One thing I thought I would just mention, I would not book anything concrete for that date because there is a high chance the game will be changed by the police due to high risk of the naughty boys turning out in force. The game could just be changed to an early Kick off but certainly something worth noting.

I would go for the KOP as a place to sit and The Gateway pub is a decent place to grab a drink before the game.

Good luck doing the 92.

Agree with Lako. A possibility of a kick-off or date change but you should still be able to get a ticket on the day even.

The Kop should be the place to sit. Hopefully there's an atmosphere with these two teams history.

yeah should be a belter and a good way for gert to see the best and the worst of english football fans:icon_bigg

what if the powers that be decide not to let the millwall fans in like afew years ago? it'll be abit flat if they do that again seeing as theres no dennis wise involved this time.

good luck on your quest gert:038:

Hi Gert

i like the review of your visit to Covscum particularly the fact you got complementary tickets:icon_lol:

Looking at the fixture list Stoke are at home on the Sunday 14th September 1.30pm, not to far from Leicester if you have time you may be able to pull in another game.

good luck on the 92

May I suggest you go to Luton this year as there is a good chance that they'll never be a football league club again.

Thanks for your reactions. So we'll wait untill the kick off time is clear. We won't make it when there's an early kick off as our plane lands at Stansted at about 11.
In that case we'll probably visit Northampton-Peterborough or Wycombe-Brentford.

Luton is absolutely on our to do list this season. Starting with a 30 point penalty I don't see them playing league football in the seasons to come.

tickets are on general sale now so the likelyhood is that the kick off will stay at 3.00pm

Unfortunately, we'll have to visit the Foxes another time. Our flightschedule was slightly changed, and so we'll visit Wycombe vs Brentford on this day. Nevertheless thanks for your reactions and hope to see you in the near future. Good luck and try to get the Foxes up where they belong!

Although the folks on here won't believe it, Northampton v Peterborough is likely to be an early kick off too.

I can well believe it. There's a big WI jumble sale going on in Northampton at 3pm and the coppers (both of them) have decided it would be too much to police two potential flashpoints at the same time. Stands to reason.
