No. It was banned due to hooliganism. For some reason they didn't anticipate people getting pissed before the game instead of during it...
Exactly. Or smashed off their tits on something else, these days.

I thought the argument for not lifting the ban was that or for the look it gave. Probably is bollocks as recall i heard it from one of the safe standing campaigns. We are all ruffians though

I remember a game at Villa Park where a WPC searched me, found my can of Coke, took it from me saying it wasn't allowed and then handed it back to me and in I went with it!

They took my picnic basket off me the other week, the bastards. Apparently cheese knives are a weapon, but I can’t imagine that a bit of cheddar is going to hurt anyone, no matter how much I carve it into a sharp point?

Pork Pie Fox is surely right that good honest Cheddar will not hurt anybody. However, they may have been searching for a cheese called Red Hot Dutch. This is a cheese that would turn Mother Teresa into a hooligan.

The trouble with searches at the King Power is that they are so dull. I was once searched by a quite delicious policewoman at Milan airport. This inspired me to believe that Leicester's TV millions would be well spent hiring Italian policewomen to do the searches. This would boost attendance and improve fan morale,
