Hopefully, there'll be a 'giant killing' later this afternoon so our inept performance can slide under the radar.

The prize for biggest incompetent of the day though goes to Benalouane who might be one of the worst defenders I've seen play in a Leicester shirt. His positioning, his tackling, his inability to pick up runners are all laughably bad.
Sounds like a fair description of several LCFC defenders over the past few years. None of them were paid anything like what Benalouane is, mind.

Slimani had a big chance today to show he can replace Vardy but blew it with his lazy attitude to not fight for balls or chase down players.

I don’t get the praise for Dragovic, or the singling our of King and Benalouanne. I actually think Benalouane was the better if the centre halves.

All 14 were pretty equally shit today. King was no worse than James who was no worse than Silva etc, etc.

Didn’t see a lazy attitude. Did quite clearly see absolutely no service to him.

I don’t understand why certain players are lighting rods for criticism. Again, every player was pretty shit today.

Yup, not much to be positive about today. The main blame has to go to the manager though. A total lack of ambition in cups once again so we can try to achieve nothing special in the league. There's a week until our next game ffs. Absolutely no need to play the duffers today.

Price tag and inevitable frustration arising from the fact that for 30+ million we should have more than a mediocre squad player.

And that commentator..... Pearce was it?

Unfuckingbearable.

I saw a centre forward completely isolated yet chasing down defenders at every opportunity. I also saw zero service or support for him from anyone.

The criticism of Slimani today is wholly inappropriate.

Far more relevant is the fact that we have absolutely no creativity without Mahrez.

The 90 minutes patronising of Fleetwood on and off the pitch was a lower point than the dreadful team performance. Slimani and at a stretch Dragovic and Jakupovic exempted from some of the criticism; Silva, James, Barnes and Benny at least got some pitch time, though playing the former two alongside Kingy in a midfield three must never, never ever happen again.

Failed miserably to match their level of desire/work rate. What level are Fleetwood? League One? Benalouane would be a shit signing even at their standard......

I think criticism of him is fair. He was not the same dynamic and creative player today as he was against Huddersfield. I absolutely agree with you about the poor service and support but he didn't do himself any favours. He didn't chase down defenders or cause a general nuisance of himself anything like as much as he did against Huddersfield but I don't think the shape of the team helped him at all.

You're absolutely right about Mahrez but I maintain that we were right not to include him in the match squad.

Surprised to come into this thread and see so many people mention Iheanacho. I hadn’t even noticed he was playing.

He was actually worse than Slimani which is a hell of an achievement.

I saw Albrighton come on to the pitch and then assumed he had gone off injured as he didn't touch the ball for a good 10 minutes.

When he did he would have been the worst player on the pitch apart from the aforementioned.
