the point is the way that our club have conducted themselves in this matter, which is nothing short of a shambles.

IF all that has been speculated on here is correct, then yes, I would agree with you that as a club (whether MM or MA, they both represent the club) we seem to have behaved less than admirably. BUT, we don't know the truth and until such time I believe we should stick to the club (MM, MA) viewpoint on things.

If that's blind loyalty then pass me my white stick and arrange to send me a young labrador :)

I'm not basing my opinion on speculation that I've read on here, it's based on the pisstaking that I'm going to suffer at work tomorrow.

If we DID sign JFH, I'd give it about a week before most posters on here decided he was a lazy, disinterested mercenary out for a last pay check and to cause trouble wherever he can.

Which would have been the general opinion of most posters until about one second before they heard we were supposedly interested in signing him.

That's not the point though is it. It doesn't really matter how long it took before we slagged him off or whether we welcomed him as the new Messiah. The fact of the matter is that the way that this whole thing has been handled is nothing short of shambolic.

What I've seen of the interviews on SSN today is enough to convince me that the senior officials of this club have behaved in a disgraceful manner, both towards JFH and (as I said earlier) by airing their dirty laundry in public.

There was no need for MM to come out and say what he did, a simple "we have decided not to take up the option" would have done far less damage.

Now that's not me being disloyal, that's me looking at the information that was presented to me today by the club.

Perhaps if we just keep making the point somebody might just ......nah, f*ck it.

Imo the JFH saga as not been handled with any degree of professionalism from the club, and does not send out good vibes to potential future high profile signings. They must promote a better image than this. Judging by JFH comments other players might be put off because they feel there is acromony between the chairman and the manager.

So if that makes MA out to be a liar too, that's OK?

Look Dour, stop being so difficult, you can't be a fan either if you keep examining these inconsistencies.
Put your blinkers back on & just nod your head.

Why do you think this? MM behaved even worse at Portsmouth and players continued to sign. Even after he'd driven out Dirty Harry.

There's no surprises about the way that Meeeeelan has behaved, but I think he has misjudged this one, SSN leapt at the chance of a bit of scandal & lets be honest, most footballers aren't the brightest of animals & will take this kind of shite onboard.

HR had already put together a decent outfit before walking away. At Leicester we are in the early stages of trying to get where Portsmouth are. Imo the last thing we need is to show possible good new signings that we are not a happy ship, and then watch them disappear to our rivals. JFH maybe 35 lazy and cost too much but he would still have been the best striker this club as had since probaly Tony Cottee.
Fatty Fryatt, DJ , Cort, no thanks i'd like to see some premiership quality players in our side.

I have not seen any statement by MA about JFH, only SSN comments about what JFH said and MM's reply.

Yes I agree, it does not treat possible signings with respect, but that is entirely MM's fault. He should have asked MA his opinion of JFH before inviting the guy here. If MA then said something along the lines of "Well Milan, I think he is an ageing, lazy, greedy tosser but if you like him I will give him a month's trial", Milan could have phoned the guy with this news and saved JFH and the club a lot of embarrassment.

MA is absolutely right to say something like "You have already landed me with Carl (sicknote son of Morris) Cort, I am not being landed as well with a bloody prima dona who will upset the rest of the squad for putting in a quarter of their effort for four times their wages!"

Leicester chairman Mandaric insisted the move collapsed after Foxes boss Allen said he wanted to look at Hasselbaink on trial first.

"I negotiated with Jimmy his package and his needs and it took me a couple of days to sort it out,"

"After we agreed on the numbers there was one condition that he meet with the manager, I turned to my manager and he wanted to sign him, but he wanted to be with him for 30 days to check his form and fitness.

"I never have pushed any player to my manager, it us up to the manager to make up his decision.

"I don't think we have to talk about Jimmy's capabilities as a footballer, but it is the manager's choice and manager's decision and that is the end of it."

Seems cut and dry to me.
Should have discussed terms with the player before dragging him up for a medical that did not happen.
I see no dispute between MA & MM.
They are working together as a team.
Milan is going after players and MA is shooting straight from the hip and telling Milan if he is a good prospect or not.

Just for the record chaps, I never claimed this was THE point.

It is, however, A point, and it's a point that I think is worth exploring. At this precise moment in time JFH is, without question, far more popular with LCFC fans than he's ever been, or ever will be again. Why the **** is that? I've read with growing incredulity how this poor, misunderstood hero has been treated so shabbily by our disgrace of a club and its pittiful manager.....

Hello? What? Uh? :102: Sometimes it seems to me that you are more popular with City fans if you're an antihero, completely at odds with the club. So far all we've got is one word against another - yet 99% of posters on here have immediately come out in favour of a player with a well known attitude problem that has never even played for us - and AGAINST OUR OWN CLUB!!!

I'm speaking for myself here, but I support the CLUB, not individuals who may or may not come and go. And even if it turns out that the club have acted badly and JFL is an "innocent victim", well, **** him! I still support LCFC so JFH and everybody else can go and **** themselves. I'm a Leicester City fan and quite frankly I don't care how they treat multi-millionaire footballers as long as the club's best interests are served.

Which, in this case, they haven't. The potential damage to the club's reputation and its ability to attract quality players is something that could cause us problems for a long time to come, and that is what concerns me the most about this whole ungainly affair.

And we all lived happily ever after.........................

I do not think you can doubt any of the passion, love or committment 99% of people who post on this website have for LCFC. The comments are more born from frustration than anything else.

Leicester City fans (as with all fans) never forget the good times but are quick to forget the bad times, I'll grant you that. Milan Mandaric has brought a new era of optimism and wealth to the club which we are all excited about and we have already forgotten particularly how bad last season was.......but I think in here lies the issue.

Leicester City have been in the papers all summer and on SSN with new signings a plenty. When was the last time that happened? Name me one LCFC fan who was not so excited last Saturday at the thought of a 4-0 win to start the season off against a newly promoted Blackpool? Name me one LCFC fan who at 5pm on Saturday, was devestated at the fact we had lost our first game?

Milan Mandaric has not only bought money to the club, but he has also installed a belief in fans (we have made 12 new signings afterall) that we are going places, that we can be great again, that the mighty foxes are going places.

I think you will find that this is the reason behind the fans criticism of the club over JFH. It is not that we do not love LCFC, that is a given. But when you are given a taste of what the future might be like, you want more. Do we need another striker, probably not........but that is not the point. The point is luring a big name like JFH would have been a major coup for the foxes, love him or loathe him. Can you imagine the old board and Rob Kelly being able to tee that transfer up? As I said, we've forgot those times already........
