What you also have to realise is that every manager will have fallouts with players.
Collymore went onto to play for us, Bradford and Oviedo all for very short periods so I dont really think you can level that at JG.
And to be fair Derby used Gregory as a scapegoat after they got relegated and tried to blame him for all that had gone wrong at the club, he had only been there a matter of months.
Also all managers learn from previous experiences and usually come back refreshed and more wise. He did a good job at Villa, he would instill discipline and would bring some passion and pride back to the club.
I certainly dont believe he would be the disaster everybody thinks, and he would be provide the Leicester connection.
He wouldnt be my first choice but I certainly wouldnt be disappointed he were offered the job. He has something to prove.
