Thanks for the clarification I think these are quite new rules - but do you think that it really happens in that way?

At the end of the day if a player is paying his agent and city is paying the player it really means that city are paying both of them, the agents negotiate higher wages from the club to cover their fees.

My understanding is that Clubs and Players are forced to use Agents. :102:

But such amounts would not appear in the table which the OP quoted from. That only includes money that has been paid direct from the club to agents.

No. Clubs can use their own staff to negotiate agreements with players. Anybody other than a member of the club's staff who negotiates agreements is deemed to be an agent and must be an Authorised Agent.

Players can have close relations (parents, brothers, sisters or wives) negotiate on their behalf. They have to be registered with the FA as a Close Relation for this payment and can not be paid for the work that they do.

I know that, I was only commenting that at the end of the day the clubs pay all agents.

You don’t have to use an agent
• If Players don’t want to use an agent, they don’t
have to. However, if Players have a contract with an
Agent, they may still have to pay the Agent even if
they don’t use him (depending on the terms that the
Player negotiates in the Player/Agent contract).
