No, that was not the same - although I was against that too. City acted within the rules - Ipswich are acting outside the rules.

How can you possibly make a statement such as the above and expect people to show you any respect at all?

Didn't say it was the same, just making the point that our club is guilty of offering dearer prices to away fans too (whether within the get out clauses or not).

Either way, we don't think it's right

Boc, these guys are busy trying to discredit Milan Mandaric, please leave them to their valuable work.
That's a bit harsh Duzza. A lot of the FT members that I speak to both on here and "in real life" appear to be against the bid.

I guess the FT are getting lots of pressure from their members about how bad for the club this takeover would be, they have a responsibility to voice their member's feelings. I am sure the FT are not against the takeover, in fact, I'm sure they said they'd welcome it.

The FT members that are in favour of takeover say that the FT are not representing them very well. I just brush these people aside as irrelevant and nothing short of a nuisance

The OS is now showing prices as £26 - rather than the £27 it said previously - but the price for U16s has gone up by a pound, and seniors down by a pound.

So maybe it wasn't Ipswich charging too much, but our OS giving incorrect information. Either that or the price has changed since it was first announced.

... either that or the actions of individual supporters who I am aware have already been in touch with both the club and Ipswich Town on the matter - all this whist the FT was simply "aware" of the problem.

Additionally (and pedantically) it seems to me, Jeff, that the prices have not moved as you quote above - all the prices have gone down from those initially quoted: Adults and u16s by £1 and Seniors by £0.50.

You're right, I was looking at them the wrong way round!

But I've checked to see how much Wolves fans are being charged at Ipswich in a few weeks, and their prices are the same as the 'new' prices on our OS, so it looks to me more like a mistake than a deliberate policy of overcharging.

Ah! I checked the Wolves site on Wednesday night/Thursday morning to seee what they were paying - they were then showing to be paying more than the Ipswich fans in Cobbold A & B blocks, in exactly the same way that we were. This seems to suggest that there has been some shap practice going on and they have relented.

The decisiion of not entering another reserve League seemed to be a mixture of cost savings (little travel) plus a concern we would have been playing lesser quality reserve sides in comparison to having friendlies against clubs in a similar position (mainly Midlands clubs).

That's pathetic, it must cost a couple of hundred quid travel.

Plus where are these local games, I only remember a few this season, certainly nothing approaching a replacement to the reserves

When you barely have enough players to ensure you can put a first team out each week, it all becomes a bit academic.

There is talk of starting a Championship reserve league next season, and hopefully LCFC will take part ( assuming we are in the Championship! ).

Whether it's exceptional or across the board, £26 is a preposterous price to charge for a match at this level.
