Couldn't the offside 'lines' drawn by VAR be adjusted slightly? A rapid player could run at 10m/s, using 24 frames per second that could be 40cm difference between frames. Could they widen the lines to accommodate a proportion of this, and if the attacker's/ defender's lines overlap then the attacker remains onside??
I've no actual understanding of the mechanics of VAR, but I've a vague recollection that the Dutch league increased the size of the line.
 
The cameras used are 50 FPS.
Still no where near good enough to judge offside to the degree they do so.

It's almost impossible to determine the precise moment the ball leaves the foot of the passing player.

Even at 50FPS you always get a distorted image.
