I read the '£22,000' income statement and that instantly puts me out of the running anyway =/

For I am a poor sod.. infact I don't think I even earn half that in a year :(

me too.

although just applying for the card and getting accepted is an easy free shirt. then cancel the account.

or you could just go down to sports world and spend a tennar for one.

You don't have to get into debt to get the free England shirt, if you use the card sensibly it can save you money, it's how you use it that counts.
People who are prone to getting into debt will do so anyway, I doubt an ad for a card on here will make any difference.

Are they really just a "tennar" now?

Why are club shirts so much more expensive than England ones?

I think its due to there being more competition to sell England shirts than club shirts. ASDA were selling the new red England shirt several days before it even came out at half the RRP. The price seems to have plumeted since then.

the white shirt only has a year left and they won't be used much after the world cup. i think the mens are about £11.99 at sportsworld. i got the missus one for £8 (kids sizes).

My Away shirt cost £28 with a name & number. also, you get your money back if england win the world cup.

There's a lot of competition for Man U shirts but that doesn't seem to have brought the price down by much.
man utd aren't involved in the most publicised competition in the world. it'd be interesting to know how much sales have increased since the end of the premiership season

i read somewhere its something to do with there being no fixed retail price so stores can sell them at whatever price they want-but that could be bollocks

i was only kidding, however does this mean that all those boring gits who are against a super casino in leicester because it gives serial gamblers more chance of getting into debt wrong? i think they are anyway the backwards tossers. a bit off subject but i thought that would fit in

The England shirt has been under major investigation for numberous of years because of the mass profit being made when they were 40 pound a pop. It may have some to do with the fact that everyone wants an England shirt, not everyone is willing to pay the 40 quid, so they are cheaper. Umbro dont want to lose on the 'England' market with people turning towards fake or alternative England shirts.

Whereas a club shirt has a more cornered customer and as an assured audience who will buy the shirt 40 quid everytime. Although, they would possibly make more money if they lowered them. There is not alternative or fake shirt for the fans to turn to.
