They set us up like this just before our squad was ripped to bits before last season  CONCERNED!

Me too! I hate it when the club say things like this. How can we achieve promotion if we sell our best players!!!

I was worried by reading that as well. I found it strange they mentioned Wilcox. If anyone offered money for him I'd bit their hands off!

I think Connolly is the most likely to be wanted, and I really hope we don't lose him. I think Sunderland and Wigan could both be interested. Considering we spent £500,000 on him, I don't think he should go for less than a million..
Williams has played well though, he could be getting some interest..

I'll definetely be glad when the window closes.

First time in about 3 years we have been able to say that.

I Would say if we have to sell one of our top players, williams would be the one.

While i would hate to see him leave, at least we have a decent player in hughes to play his role. If Connolly went we would have no one to replace him.

We should keep Connolly at all costs! even if others have to go.

That said, there has been no indication from the club that the finances are so dire that we couldn't afford not to sell anyone, so surely we should be able to keep everyone. i know our bank balance is low, but promotion will help that a lot more than selling a player or two.

It looks like someone is about to be sold I would be dissapointed if williams left for less then 1.25 mill and connoly less then 1.7mill, given their current form and age. Knowing the club tho they will be given away.

wigan sold ellington for £3m. its possible. i wouldnt move to wigan from leicester anyway, no fans untill the chelsea game, rugby town full of northern monkey's

I think if we had to sell one of our best players then it should definitely not be Wilcox because if some premiership scouts ever read this then they might think that Wilcox is out best player and therefore try and sign him which I think would be ok, especially if the money was good so in a way this post is more of a negative but just to reiterate - selling Wilcox will be the worse case scenario (even though you know I son't think that).

WTF!

WTF!

I want to understand you.:icon_lol:

As people are suggesting, the best way for a manager to attract the attention of other managers to his players is to publicly say, I hope no one tries to buy any of my players with an offer we can’t refuse.

CL is no fool, he knows this and I have doubt that if he has a player in mind, which ever player it is, he will have lined up a better replacement for less money and a lower wage. So fear not my fellow fans. CL will do the right thing.
