Southend United 0-2 Leicester City
18 April 2009

Matty Fryatt's double earned him the man of the match award as City were crowned as champions of League One following the 2-0 win at Southend. It was Fryatt's eighth award of the season and his first since the draw at MK Dons but well deserved after his 30th and 31st goals of the season carried City over the line and into the Championship for next season. Solid performances from Jack Hobbs and Andy King saw them make the top three.

I didn't think that Dickov was that bad on Saturday. Certainly not great but not that bad. :102:

I forgot to vote(though that might've been a good thing!) When I was reading the crap report of the day in the Mercury, I think the bloke doing the ratings must've missed the first half completely!

We were very definitely second best and if Southend had attacked Mattock more second half it might well have been them with the three points not us, cos first half his passing and awareness was utter shite. He must've thought it was his lucky day when hardly any attacks happened on his side after being ripped to pieces during the first half.
