Matty Fryatt has been cleared for a return to first-team action.

The star striker will be available for Sunday's final league game at home to Middlesbrough and the play-offs after being given the green light yesterday.

Question is though, do we play him, and if so, when?

On the one hand, he has been a key player once more this season, but on the other hand, we have scored goals and won games without him, should we be tinkering with the team at such a vital part of the season?.

The Boro match would be a good chance for Fryatt to get sharper for the play offs. Perhaps a couple of the other fringe players will get a run out on Sunday ie Bruce, Dany and Adams.

Stick him on the bench for Sunday and give him a run out for the second half or half an hour whichever suits. If he looks up to it then use him as an impact player in the play offs.

Agreed. Doubt he'll be fit enough to start, but important to give him some match time on Sunday. Could be crucial for the playoffs :)

I wouldn't necessarily throw him straight back into the starting lineup for the playoffs though.... Waggy doesn't deserve to be dropped, and with the sort of system we've been playing not sure we can play them both together

the chairmain says his jaw bone has healed

but that could be Mandy bull

Might not be fit enough to start really, but even so, he's a great impact sub in the play-offs of nothing else.

I hope people dont expect too much of Fryatt on Sunday. He's bound to have a few teething problems after such a long lay off.
