Fryatt to Preston - on Mon or Tues !

Word from colleagues in Lancashire is that the Fryatt deal is all set up. Preston have agreed a fee of £1.4m (plus a few 'add-ons') and Matty has had preliminary talks about the contract. He's already to go -and quite keen by all accounts. Simpson has 'pencilled in' a Press Conference on Monday or Tuesday.
As for McLeod, City are still in the picture - he is more keen to come to Leicester than Charlton, but Mandaric still hasn't matched Charlton's £1.5m. The Dons' Chairman told his Admin people that Leicester were waiting on "another striker deal coming off" - one coming IN apparently.

It would be a shame to see him go IMO, but having said that, I don't think hes been brilliant for us - hes shown moments of greatness - but obviously that's no good. In fairness he was playing in a god awful team. Personally I'd like to see us give him this season atleast but I guess the fear is if we do that and he has a bad season again has value will decrease.

This will be a good test of MAs managerial ability. Obviously he knows all about McCloud from MK Dons and he's had a chance to look at Fryatt, so if this happens, he must think McCloud is a better player. Let's hope that he is right!

well summed up! once fryatt buggers off we can bring in players who may be focussed and give a shite which could mean mcleod.

Fryatt has to leave this club, he does not want to be here, that is clear to see, however I think Matty will be in for a massive reality check once he does sign for PNE.

Facilities and stadium nowhere near the quality we have, average crowds of 13 to 14k and that is when they are chasing a play off place. Matty will then realise just what opportunity he wasted when at Leicester and then lets see how motivated he is then.

This move to Preston will be just reward for his wonderful efforts over the past 12 months or so.

I would imagine that they will be looking to sign two strikers too be honest now that Nugent has left, Henderson to play as a target man with Aygemang as back up and then Fryatt to battle it out with Hawley and Ormerod for the other starting berth.

Good manager Paul Simpson, could well get a lot out of him. He's a very strong finisher is Fatty Fryup, I will be sad to see him go to be fair, but you have to ask the question why he would want to go when the club is looking so much more positive.
