What did Maybury do to deserve a 4?

I would have given a 2 at most

I have to say that Wesolowski really impressed me today. For 18 months now he has been raved about, and before tonight I hadn't seen him do an awful lot. (maybe thats down to injuries). But tonight he looked sharp, played well in the middle, made some nice passes and scored an excellent goal. More of the same please Weso! :038: :038: :038:

Agreed. Can't be bothered with ratings tonight.

I think these are a bit harsh. They played against a team containing 7 full internationals plus one tipped to be the next England right back & another in the German squad. For an hour they dominated them.

I walked back to the car with a group of Fulham supporters who were all of the opinion that if Montella had not scored his first when he did they would have been beaten. They reckoned Williams was the most influential player on the park & that Leicester gave them a harder game than several premiership teams have. Interestingly, some of them also thought that before the last goal the lino was flagging for Routledge fouling Maybury, not the other way round.

Several players tired midway through the second half & losing McAuley made a big difference. Levi was kept quiet for most of the game, & Danny C looked still not fully fit - should have been able to show more pace at that late stage of the game. I agree Weso looked class - how calm to take that goal.

Completely agree. Some people on here are losing the plot. Look at where we are. Jesus.

I live in Spain, but follow from afar.

It worries me after seeing the highlights last night how we continue to leak goals especially when McCarthy is in the team.

He is the Captain, but does he lead by example? We look much more solid with McAuley and Kisnorbo together.

For there winner whether Routledge fouled Maybury or not its a crying shame that he managed to wriggle free of the 3 in attendance!!

McCarthy was at fault for a lot last night, for me MacAulay is by far the better ~~CB.

He is the only genuinely decent one we have, in my opinion. Kisnorbo is a good-to-average player at this level, and he should be playing next to him

McCarthy shouldn't be anywhere near first choice

the ratings look harsh to me, I wont bother but just say even though we lost I am still proud of them.. Id rather be a CITY fan than a Newcastle fan at the moment!

Hendo 5 - Kicking was great, was left wide open for most goals, but still, deserves no more for letting in 4.

Maybury 6 - Get off his back, he was ok last night. Routledge only just got by him once the night.
McCarthy 5 - Dies for the cause, but actually is getting found out a lot for me. Positionally adept, flounders and gives away fouls in dangerous areas. He needs to mature, but already thinks he's the finished article.
Kisnorbo 6 - Better than McCarthy, stronger and has a better awareness IMO.
MacAulay 7 - Sure Radzinski skinned him for their first equaliser, but IMO Gareth is a superb player.

Porter 6 - Found out a bit tonight, but then he is only 19!
Hughes 5 - Great ball for the Fryatt goal, great flick on for Fulham's second and sometimes allowed the game to pass him by.
Williams 7 - Good player, I eat my words, he has impressed me of late. He won the midfield battle against Brown for lots of the game.
Tiatto 5 - Shame we missed him actually, I think if he'd been on we might have hung on.

Fryatt 9 - MOM, excellent.
Hume 7 - Runs his legs off, made things happen by persistance.

Weso 7 - Looked good actually, although was at fault for not picking up for Fulham's third.
Stearman 6 - Wanted to see him on earlier to replace Hughes. At 3-1 we needed players with good positional sense, Hughes doesn't have this when he plays RM.
Cadamarteri 6 - Best song of the night, looked dangerous, kept crossing to the mighty Porter at the back post.......
