We had some Scottish Power people knock on our door a few weeks ago and they certainly didn't act in an ethical way, they lied about being the cheapest (they weren't), and told us all the price comparison websites were biased against them, which is a load of bollocks.
I suppose it depends on your area as I met some agents from another area on my second training course -after I was accepted and one of those was a bit of a chancer. These were "doors people" , as opposed to "stores people" and are usually recruited via a marketing company and some of these e.g. "Cobra" can be sometimes a bit dodgy on other products so who knows elsewhere what they get up to. BUT I do know that Scottish Power do not take anyone on who has done things in the past and whose "Energy Assesors " licence is in anyway tarnished by previous mis-deads
