Leicester City can confirm George Hirst has been recalled from Blackburn Rovers and will spend the second half of the 2022/23 campaign on loan at Ipswich Town, subject to Football League clearance.
The 23-year-old, who scored 15 goals for Portsmouth last season, joins a Suffolk side who are currently third in League One.
He made 46 appearances in all competitions for the Fratton Park outfit last term, before signing a new contract with the Foxes ahead of a loan move to Blackburn, where he played 11 times.
His progress will now continue with the Tractor Boys, who are next in action at home to Plymouth Argyle on Saturday 14 January (3pm kick-off).
