Am I the only one that thinks this makes a lot of sense?
No. But if we offered it to him he'd piss himself laughing. He'll walk into a much better job within a short while. It's living in the past to assume that any decent manager thinks we're a going concern. If we can see the club is a broken ruin then so can they.

Our time has passed & the whole game knows it.

We have to try to make sure that, going forward, none of our managers are English. Unless we're in the championship. They're all shit & have been for 2 generations, that's not going to change. Unfortunately the really good foreign coaches are beyond us unless we end up discovering the next big thing before anyone else does. & even if we did that it'd end up being for one season probably as a bigger club would just wave the chequebook like they did with Enzo.

We did a nice job disrupting everything for a while but football has now reverted to the mean, as all things eventually do. Even if Man City get ****ed in some courtroom & Pep buggers off, the position will just be filled by some other "big" club.

I enjoyed it while it lasted but it's over forever now.

Best we can hope for now is not repeating 2003-2013

The older you get the more you realise how few friends you have. Most of them turn out to be just people you know rather than anything that actually qualifies as a 'friend'

I've got 6 that I can name. So I've acquired one for every decade on the planet.
The real ones reveal themselves when you're up to your neck in shite or after a tragedy. Nothing else counts.

& besides , who the **** would be friends with a ref? That's essentially one up from tabloid journalist & politician & only two up from nonce.
