I've little time for this international retirement malarkey. The manager should be building a squad for two years' time so should be comfortable telling older players that they're unlikely to get called up outside of emergencies, but any player who has wanted to be there previously should be happy to take the chance if it comes. There were certainly some good performances in Brazil from players older than stevie g will be in 2016.
