Now then, it does need to be pointed out that we're facing the side bottom of League 2 who have scored 7 goals in 23 league games.

They are truly dogshit.

Frankly, our U21s should be able to see this one through so I'll not be having any excuses. We've rightly made a load of changes but that's no reason to struggle. Simple enough 3-0 win.

Why is Soyuncu so out of the first team now? I don't really get what happened.

It's all rather murky. He's undoubtedly dropped off form wise over the last couple of years. However, whereas some players are supported and encouraged, Rodgers seems to go out of his way to criticise and humiliate Soyuncu.

There was a thought about him not signing a new contract and seeking a move but there are plenty of regulars in that position.

It probably boils down to him shitting on the back seat in Rodgers' cinema room.

This is what BR has said about McAteer:

"In terms of position, either side, he has played as a wing-back, he’s played as a full-back. He feels very comfortable in both of those positions, as opposed to being a midfield player now."

So I expect he'll be either left back (with Brunt in midfield), or wing back, with Brunt on the left of the back three. I think wing back is more likely.

That defence looks like the stuff of nightmares, even against a team bottom of league 2!

Hopefully the stronger midfield and forward line should drag us through but I'd be very surprised if we end with a clean sheet.
