And where are Hearts? Nowhere in a nowhere league. High profile? Hardly. Experienced in English football? Hardly. Proven record of long-term top class managerial success? Hardly. He might have some talent but we really do need an established, respected English League boss.
Tony,
Please don't be so ignorant. Hearts are 5th in the SPL at the moment, with a view to finishing third for the third year in a row, which gives us Uefa cup qualification. Our league form is suffering a bit at the moment, due to still being involved in the group stages of this season's competition.
We play Schalke in Edinburgh next week, thereafter FC Basel away, and Ferenvacos at home. 5 points from those three games could put us through to the next stage.
At the moment we cannot compete with Rangers and Celtic, because of finances, but we are on the verge of being taken over, and a huge cash injection being put in to strengthen the team.
Admittedly, we are no world beaters, but no-one in a nowhere league is far from the truth.
Rant over.

He's never happy, nothing is good enough and no matter who we get as manager he'll poke holes in their tactics/team selection/purchases/style of football.
basically he wants awho will make us play football like Brazil in 1970.established, respected English League boss

While your loyalty to Scottish football does you proud it was my experience in years gone by to witness Scottish football first hand outside of the Celtic/Rangers compound.
It was sad beyond belief.
Nevertheless, I have been entertained by some wonderful Scottish footballers and, indeed, consider that City were at their best ever when metaphorically full of Scots like Davie Gibson, Frank McLintock, Ian King etc.
Not now though. Which Scottish football really excites you in the way Kenny Dalglish, Jimmy Johnstone etc used to. Sorry, Scotland has sacrificed its footballing soul by importing journeymen from Scandinavia at the expense of developing its own.
And now, if Hearts get their "massive cash injection" do you really believe this will mean money for the academies of Scottish youth or more foreign imports to buy yourself on the table of European glory?.
Buying glory means nothing. You've gotta build it.
The Scottish national side is pretty poor just now by their own admission. If Hearts are worse then it doesn't say a lot. I take no joy from that - as a country Scotland's smashing - but just now their football is basement level by their once illustrious standards.

Tony,
I think you'll find that Hearts DO have a youth academy, and Rangers are the only other Scottish team that has one.
Hearts Do give youth a chance, especially Scottish youth. You will see that there are little or no Old Firm players in the Scotland team, because it is they who have buggered up th Scottish game, bringing in Big names and Foreign imports. Other teams have been guilty of trying to keep up with them in the past, but no longer. HEARTS are one of the leading lights in bringing through young Scottish talent, with 8 of our line up on Saturday being of Scottish origin.
As for the massive cash injection, it is anybody's guess how that will be spent. Just a pity Levein may not be there to see any of it.
Sorry if I sound a bit over the top, but there is life outwith the Old Firm in Scotland, and we have supporters who are every bit as passionate about their club, as you are about Leicester.
All the Best,
The Bam.

Cheers Silverfox, and Tony..........
I think if Levein does get the Leicester job, you will see some Scottish talent move with him, and YOU WILL BE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. I think that a lot of the sadness felt by the fans is in the uncertainty of which players he may take with him. We have around 8 out of contract at the end of the season....................

Good news IMO about Levein, think he is the best of the bunch that would come to us.
As for England's prospects, I'm not sure about that really, you look at the players that are in the U-19's, U-21's and even the Schoolboy games and there were plenty of skilful wingers on show. As for strikers, its wait and see usually, but I think Defoe, Owen, Rooney, Heskey are good enough for the next 6-8 years, and 6-8 years is a long time and we usually produce good strikers as a country
