Joey is an outstanding midfielder bear in mind 1 in 10 for a midfielder I think is good.
I agree the strikers records are poor and need to be improved, but we have numerous problems here. For a start any club I feel needs 4+ strikers so they can maintain healthy competition for places and have cover for injuries/bans. At least 2 strikers need to be prolific and goal poacher type strikers like claridge was, hume is good but I feel is playing in the wrong role he should be playing just behind the front like sort of like rooney does for man u.
Hammond may be better as a winger. The stark truth I think is I think that MDV is the only out and out striker we currently have on the books, and craig is not going to be bringing 2 prolific strikers during mid season window they will both be gambles, the one that looks the most promising is fowler. If that turns out to be a on loan deal funded by the departure of williams we then have a new problem in who is going to supply him since highes will be the only attacking midfielder left and he is injury prone. I expect nils to be leaving us during the transfer window after his fallout with craig and we will do really well to keep joey here, so although the midfield does currently look healthy it may not be the case come end of jan, I fear it will be like rats leaving a sinking ship. If we get just 1 striker, it wont be enough webbo, take a look at all the teams doing well and they rely on 2 good front men with good front men sitting on the bench if the one on the pitch is having an off day and we just havent got that. This all comes back to one man and that is CL, he has had a very healthy budget this season, especially after connolly was sold, quite simply he has cocked up, hammond was a stupid way to waste cash and was done purely for PR reasons to make it sound like connolly had been replaced. I would also need to question Craig's coaching team who groom the strikers, its not all about natural ability its about training as well.
