Watched some of the match tonight, McCauley looked okay got forward a bit, still on the losing side though.

Whilst he cannot be judged on one performance, I have to say based on what I did see, he certainly didnt look anything special, but as I have said one game is not a sufficient way to judge.

I didnt notice him much apart from he looked very tall
And got an elbow in the face from the guy who got sent off.

Was it him sitting on the gound when grimsby scored?

Isn't McCauley a defender...we don't really need one of those as a priority!

I thought Parkinson for Grimsby looked sharpist. They did not use his speed effectively. Could be a problem for defenders playing wide left.

Looks like he's coming

Imps star set for Foxes switch
19-05-2006 10:32
Leicester City are set to sign Lincoln City's highly rated defender Gareth McAuley.
The 26-year-old Northern Ireland international had attracted the interest of former Foxes boss Craig Levein, who left the club in January. Current City boss Rob Kelly is also a fan and is set to make McAuley his first permanent signing.

The 26-year-old joined Lincoln two years ago from Coleraine in Northern Ireland and was part of the Imps' squad that missed out on a place in the League Two play-off final, losing to Grimsby in the semi-finals earlier this week.
City are hoping to finalise the deal within the next 48 hours.
