Just back and absolutely gutted at the outcome today. Thought with everything that happened in the game we deserved a point. But hey ho, that's football.
We were so unlucky with injuries today it was unreal. During the course of the game we had FOUR different Left Backs. Three injuries which restricted our tactical options.

Stunning goal by Kuffour. What more can i say on that?! He will be a special little player for us no doubt. All the interviews and talk surrounding Lambert this week and he was totally off the boil. Very unlike him.

I thought your support today was excellent at times. You got behind your team and it was a great afternoon trying to out sing you. Our support was excellent though too. We made some terrific noise and Goodnight Irene was ringing around the Walkers at times.

One sad thing was the Police/Steward's. Totally over reacted to a few missiles thrown and waded in like total pricks...Very fortunate that it didn't escalate further.

Well done on your victory today lads/lasses, your a good bunch, hopefully it's the start of your real push for promotion. I think you are more than good enough to acheive it. Mattock, Dyer, Fryatt, Tunchev looked class and Super Barry Hayles was a real threat with his physical presence. Fortunate to stay on though after a couple of flailing arms!

All in all, absoulutely gutted with the result BUT we will bounce back.

Good luck this season....

Thanks for that and thanks for the applause for John Sjoberg too. I thought your support was good today just a shame a couple of pricks had to be thrown out.

Thanks Wes, nice to see you so gracious in defeat. Don't agree with you about the missiles though. If things like that happen it can't just be ignored.

Good luck to you and yours too - well, except for 21st February when I hope you get slaughtered :-)

Thanks Gashead - good luck to your season too. You've been one of the best opposition fans on here, respect to you.

Your not the first person to comment about the police and stewards, its a shame they spoil it for people.

Thanks for the post Wes, your boys came very close to leaving a lot of frustrated and angry Leicester fans.
It could be a significant result for us, and a chance to rebuild some confidence. Hopefully your team will take the positives and bounce straight back.

Absoulutely. There is no room for those idiot's in football, BUT the OB started hitting innocent fans with battons and were pushing and shoving women and children. Still i don't want to dwell on that as the game was about much more than a few idiot's.

There was a steward who whipped his jacket off too and started celebrating like a mad man when you scored. I thought tht was quite funny but i sensed other's around me were not impressed. Lol.

Im still in shock about the turn around at the end. Very hard to take. I think it will be a massive test for our management to lift the players but they are good enough to manage it.

Get behind your team like that again and you won't be far off. You could see how much your players appreciated it. It seemed to lift one or two.

Enjoyed the day on the whole and had some great banter with the Leicester fans. Look forward to your visit in our great City, hopefully with a different result though!!

Cheers Gashead Wes, it's refreshing to hear from a sensible opposing fan, compared to some of the muppets we've had on here before!!

Hasn't he just, makes a nice change from some of the arsewipes that have posted bollocks recently, especially a certain Leeds troll whose name shall not be mentioned.

Hope you have a good season Wes :038:

Wouldn't expect anything else from a dirty Leeds fan though 'eh?

And Leeds are my dad's team...oh the shame!

Gashead - great post!

It was a pleasure to have such a passionate set of fans in the Walkers.

And you're gracious and generous in defeat.

Brilliant. It's what the beautiful game is all about.

All the best to you. And thanks.

:)

Best set of fans so far this season, atmosphere was great.

The result was revenge for Holoway:)

All the best to you and your team.

Just repeating what has already been said, Thanks Wes, it makes a change to have a decent, mature and gracious fan on here (leicester fan or otherwise ;))

All the best this season, well, except when we play you away of course.

Indeed, BB. It would have been much more appropriate for the police to stand and watch their fans throwing missiles.

WTF were the police thinking?

Best set of fans to visit the Walkers in 2 or 3 years, I popped down about 1 to buy a ticket and they were already milling around the stadium. I thought the Police presence and helicopter was OTT from the start, they were marshalling the away end pre-kick off. Wanna go the Memorial Ground now. Very nice to have a fan whose graceful in defeat.

I am sorry to say, if Brizzle Rovers didn't decide to time waste, get players sent off and fake injury too early, they'd have nicked it.

As it happened, yes, it probably was. However I heard they were spooked by the amount of Bristol fans who got here early and who were in and around the city centre long before the game.

Thing is for the police they are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Its a personal thing Melts.

After an incident at Tranmere 1994/95 ? i have no respect for the police at football games. Suffice to say that on that day it was them that were unlawful and should have been sacked and prosecuted for the blatent breach of their duties.

I can also recount many other incidents where there reactions have been totally disproportionate to an incident.

Did you file a complaint? I would have...

Incidentally, in your avatar, who do you think should be the more embarrassed being seen in the company of the other two?

It was two of my mates who were arrested, and then when out of public view they were beaten up in the back of the van.

Their innocence over the so called original incident was proven in court. For the police who dished out the thuggery, they were just allowed to carry on & beat up other innocent people on another day.

Not saying I don't sympathise, but there are always two sides to every story. I have never witnessed abuses as you describe but then when I go to away games I don't drink alcohol, I don't bait the opposition supporters or the police and I don't indulge in the type of twatish behaviour that some people seem to at football matches.

Not saying your mates did either Brauny, and I'm not disbelieiving that abuse from the police can occur as you claim it did. It's just that sometimes people can avoid trouble in the first place by the way in which they conduct themselves.

Again, this isn't having a go at you or your mates Brauny, just a general observation.
