My take on the New Year and all it's festivities will make anything @give_us_a_wave posts about it seem like a beacon of optimism.
I've never really cared for it much, other than the pubs were open late.

Since the last 3 months have seen both my 60th birthday & my 20th anniversary of membership of this forum I thought I'd do a happy new year thread to mark it all.
It was only after I started that I remembered you're all awful ****s & not worth it.
But then I remembered that I am too.

Happy New Year all. Been an interesting year but for me, specific to this forum, saddened by the passing of David Gwilliam.
It’s odd that you can feel so affected by someone you have only ever seen typed forum messages from! Hopefully he has the 2015/2016 season on repeat up in the Clouds.
