.........that MM had put MA on a 3 month trial period.

The more I think about what has happened the more this idea seems to rise up.
There are a few points which make this possible

1. Was Mandaric at Portmouth when MA played there, so he would know what he was like and what might happen.

2. He has only managed lower league teams, and this might have been a big step up for him

3. To hand out a 3 year contract with no protection written into it

Anybody else had any thoughts like this?

I hadn't, but the more I look at it, the more it would seem to make sense. Good thinking BG.

No I just thought Allen was an annoying prick who didn't dance to Milan's tune despite one fantastic result and 3.5 others that were at best mixed, so he told the cockney tosser to feck off.

Or if you had that much self belief in your own ability that you deem such a clause as insignificant.

If the clause was based on performance then maybe, but only a fool would sign an 'unconditional' clause with anybody, in particular MM.

only a fool would sign as manager at a club like leicester and think he has full control

I don't think Milan is daft enough to put somebody on a trial period that finishes three games into the season.

Correction:

Only a fool would sign as manager at Leicester

someone who is happy as a euro-style coach would happily take the job i think. someone with feck all managerial ability, such as Mr Roeder

i seem to remember when MA came here though that Barber made himself look a tit by asking him what it was like when they had worked together at portsmouth before-because MA replied he wasn't there when MM was!

Wohoo another thread! BG I expected better from you :)

Fcuk off beighton you trouble maker.....

This is a thought which deserved a thread of its own rather than sink into oblivion in all the shit what has been posted on other threads.

I am bemused by the fact that MM could get the appointment so wrong, and then have to pay MA somewhere in the region of 500k to £1M to get rid, unless like you suggest BG he was on a trial period

he didn't get the appointment wrong, it was only after a short time he realised he could not work with him. Most job these days are on a trial period but very rarely put into action.
