Went for the Toshiba 32AV555DB in the end, fiddled with the factory settings as suggested on avforums and the picture quality is superb from standard def sky and the upscaled DVD is brilliant, better than the LG I had before, but that was an older TV.

Sony Bravia is the way forward. :icon_wink

They mainly use Samsung components though so it's pretty much a badge swap that costs a couple of hundered quid.

Not quite true. Sony and Samsung jointly develop LCD panels but the rest of the technology in their units are unconnected.

Found an annoying bug with mine. Every time I change input it asks me to go through the quick setup. I have gone through it to get it out of the way and let it try to auto tune (I have no analogue aerial input) but it still pops up. I have emailed Toshiba for guidance.

Fixed it with their help, just needed to run an aerial cable from the Sky box to the TV and let it tune itself that way.

Thanks for that

You're welcome. If I'd known you were waiting for the information as well I would have posted it sooner. Apologies if you had to wait.

It's okay, I could've waited longer.
