Derby are flying with a bit of money wisely spent, and a good manager.
If we have the same for next season, we now have the bit of money, we could be banging on the door of the Prem - or just banging the Ultra's drum!

optomistic lot aint we!

Not really

From what we've seen this season this league is utterly shit, and it doesn't take much to challenge for the top six - makes our current position all the more embarrassing

The one factor to take into account is the bonanza parachute payments coming to those being relegated - so if we don't get up there soon we'll struggle to get up there at all

And the teams coming down seem to be preparing to go straight back up

2 if we get the right manager. It's a terrible division, we need the right guy to motivate the current crew and then additional 5 players.

Absolutely right.

Unless you have a winning team chasing promotion, the football and ambience is so awful to be almost unwatchable. On the occasions I make the effort, I am generally disappointed and find myself reading the programme before half time - how sad is that?

Obviously, kelly is not up to it...but providing we don't get relegated and I think MM taking over reduces that risk, then MM will get someone in better than we could get now in the summer.

I have gobe for two seasons - but the standard of the division is so crap that anything approaching a half decent side could do it next season.

No reason really why it couldn't happen next season, if good players come in, probably with a new manager.

People are always saying how close this league is, and how anyone can beat anyone, and that's not too far from the truth. So a bit of money spent can go a long way, if spent right.
I think the season after will be more realistic though. I think next year we'll be top half, just outside the playoffs.

Bring on the good times!
