Club record signing by McLintock in the late 70s, his case was not helped by him being ex-Derby. He'd done well both there and at FC Brugge where we got him from, but he took ages to settle down for us - always off the pace.

Nevertheless he finished the 77/78 season as joint top scorer on a magnificent 4 goals - and yes, we were relegated. Much relief when he ****ed off to America.

Remember signing him, debut vs. Derby at home. Travelled down on the night to find huge queues to get in.
A few years ago we went to Brugge on holiday and went to have a look at the ground there. On the way back to the bus stop the bus had just set off but stopped for us in the middle of a roundabout. Hopped on the bus, paid our fare and sat down, only for the bus driver ask me who the team on my shirt was. When I told him Leicester, he shouts out "Aaah Roger Davies!". He then went on to tell me what a total legend he is in Brugge - he helped them to a League & Cup double, scoring the winning goal agianst Anderlecht in the Cup Final. So, he may not have been great for us, but he did help me catch the bus!
