Something to do with bones and stuff they put in dog food in times gone past that they dont do now.
Dogs that are fed BARF diets (Bones And Raw Food) will still produce white poo. It doesn't come out of the dog white but quickly dries out to the white colour; it's actually the calcium from the bones that turns it white. As MF suggests modern dog food does not produce white poo but if a dog that it is on a 'modern' diet unusually eats a large (for the size of the dog) bone, it will often produce a white poo.
