From China, I know there is tax on that when it hits customs. I've been pretty lucky with several purchases in the past but I have budgeted for it.

I received my Xiaomi Redmi 3 a couple of days ago, and am quite pleased. Took a while to get it setup how I want it with a Nova launcher and some new default apps and keyboard. I asked the retailer to install Google play services and the play store.

I can't seem to be able to use Google messenger for SMS, I can set it as the default app, and have confirmed all the permissions but it doesn't seem to have access to the SMS on my phone, and reverts back to Xiaomi's app on a restart. The built in app seems to do the job okay though.

The only other problem I've had is that there was a file size download limit of 1mb set when not on WiFi, had to Google how to change this, and setting any limit other than unlimited seemed to still block everything over 1mb.

Other than that, now it's set up I'm pleased. Performance is good (though I'm not a gamer) I'm enjoying 4g, and battery lasts more than twice as long as my Moto G with my usage.
