I received a text while I was at the match telling me someone had posted in the support forum. I was pissed off when I checked it to see it's a non urgent issue, it says quite clearly in the support forum description that it's for urgent support only.

I was even more pissed off when I saw the question, because you already have the answer.
If you bothered to read the emails you want to stop, you'll notice they contain links to allow you to unsubscribe from individual thread notifications, and for all subscribed threads.
When you post you can select what notification, if any, you wish to receive, and you can set your default in the control panel.
