He might be a nice bloke, I wouldn't wish his illness on anybody, but how far do you go with compassion and sympathy.:102:
Last season,at times he played well, but at times it was hard on the ears. Last season at times City played well, but at times it was hard on the eyes. Coincidence:102:

In the meantime, hope you pull through Henry......

less talk about henry dying please, thats awfull. have some compassion and dont talk about him like dog who's being put down. its sick

Why don't they get henry to play when the players come on after half-time or maybe even to a techno backing track?

This seems to be just another example of the suits at LCFC doing what they do best - screwing people and being c unts.

The club are reacting to feedback from fans during several Fans Forum's over the last 12 months. From our survey it appeared older fans enjoyed Henry playing, younger ones hated it. The results presented to the club were:

Q3 Henry playing the Post Horn Gallop live has received criticism from a number of fans, which statement best expresses your current view:

a) I like Henry playing it live & think he should continue 38.5%

b) I believe Henry should play the Post Horn Gallop live at some games 7.8%

c) Although I liked Henry playing live initially, I think its time for a change 15.1%

d) I’ve always preferred the recorded version of the Post Horn Gallop 32.4%

e) I believe the live version of the Post Horn Gallop has a negative effect on the build up of the atmosphere and should be dropped 3.9%

We then summarised the stats to the club as follows:

So the majority want a change, yet over a third still in favour, but few want selected games - difficult one (certainly seems to turn younger fans off), in additional comments several fans suggested dropping the 15 min prior part & just play live as the players come out, maybe a compromise of just playing once?

- and that compromise they have taken up which following the last Fans Forum meeting those attending overall said they preferred him playing 15 mins before the start with recorded PHG as the players come out

all decided no knowledge of any illness

This is another example of the Trust trying to turn something simple into an industry.

Joe_Fox is right. The club are hopeless at human relations and have got it all wrong again.

The idea of the live posthorn appealing to the nostalgic leanings of geriatrics like me was OK - it should have been kept to special occasions like a Christmas fixture and in any case it wasn't the same as the 1950's presentation because the post horn was then part of a live brass band rendition of the PHG. So the Henry thing wasn't even authentic. To proliferate the thing was a disservice to the poor old bloke because it was bound to end in (his) tears.

The recorded PHG should be played loudly and in full - and the club should also desist from 'cheapening' and spoiling the atmosphere by cutting out the music after goals.

The Walkers is a soulless enough environment without the club making it worse.

My other half is devestated by this news and wants to know if she can adopt Henry.

No its whats known as consulting fans.

As very few fans actually turn up to open meetings, a larger consultation is acheived by e-mail. The numbers who took part in this survey was over 4 x larger than those who attended the open meeting which discussed it.

The survey results were given to the club in advance of the meeting & referred to on a number of occasions through the open meeting.

A multi choice style is used to enable easy analysis.

'standing ovation' or not he still couldnt hit a note. Thanks Henry, it's been pretty crap, goodbye.
