HHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFF football back from November each season when pitch is knackered!

FIFA are looking at plastic pitches again perhaps we in for a grant!!

artificial pitches are nasty. you have to cover yourself with vaseline to stop the friction burns....
every cloud has a silver lining i suppose...

I understand that there has been a turf developed that is a mixture of plastic strips and real grass. The plastic strips are are mixed in with the soil before the turf is seeded and this helps to give the soil strength so it can withstand the rigors of sport.

A mix of real grass and astro turf.

As the rugger chaps will be closest to the ground, I think they would like something with a some give in it.

would this be the same style pitche which webbo mentioned in answer to your point in one of the other threads saying that's what they've got at wigan and it's crap?

There must be a solution to this problem.

no ground share, no egg chasers churning up the pitch. if we're going to play hoof and hope at least let it be CL's decision and not enforced upon him by the pitch's condition.

I've posted on another thread about the pitch. I work in the artificial pitch industry and so know that a combination pitch shouldn't cut up any more than ours does already.

Like i said, if the pitch is a major concern it shouldn't be.

i dont think the tigers will play rugby on any sort of artificial pitch for the burn factor alone.

Its not an artificial pitch as you think. Its a mixture of yarns and real grasses.

Its not any more likely to burn than a dry rugby pitch in the summer or australia for example.

It certainly shouldn't be a deciding factor in anyones thinking anyway

F*ck it, let's just tarmac the whole pitch and call it a day. $£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$$££$££$£$£$£

Problem I have with this type of comment is that there are a number of fans who have not grasped the fact that a Club's success is directly proportional to its profit (or keeping the losses small). To be a top Club we need to cut costs and increase income.

My main objection to this merger is that there are no figures published which justify the ground sharing. This makes me very suspicious.
