Hull fan here.
I wondered if any of you Leicester fans wanted to answer some questions for my Hull City fan site.
Basicaly it is just a short questionaire for all CCC club fans to have a say on how they think things will go this year fr their clubs and the whole division.
If you are interested send me an email to [email protected] and I will send you the questions.
I would be interested to hear from anybody who is a keen writer who would
A) Like to write a short report from the game at the KC last week
B) An article on the whole Peter Taylor thing (Why so many Leicester fans cant stand him, how they feel about him as England U21 boss and how he has done for us since he left you) It would be nice to see some humourous and serious views on the subject.

Anyway, thanks for listening chaps and good luck for the rest of the season.

Jimmy http://hullcityfanchat.webeden.co.uk/ :)

apostrophes in plurals, when will the madness end?

why do we hate him? how you like it if he signed Akinbiyi for £6m?

I did not ask for a grammar lesson mate :)
I just wanted to try and get some Leicester fans to give me some opinions for my site DV, I never wanted to sound like I was winding you all up. I can fully understand why you hate him so much but I would like to hear some interesting stories/points of view etc.
Your in faith
Jimmy

As crap as Peter Taylor was for us, I still think he is a good coach/manager for the England U21s.

His problem for us was just that he was given a ton of money and pissed it away on shit players. I think his only good signing, unless I'm forgetting some, was Ian Walker. The rest were absolute crap, and are now in the lower leagues again where they belonged.

I hate him. He's the reason for the rut we're currently in.

Peter Taylor distroyed the team which would have won the league and possibly the FA cup with MON in charge. He then went on to distroy the club.
It is going to take a long for the club to recover from what he did, and even longer for fans to get over it.

Asking leicester fans to discuse PT in a pleasent manner, Is pointless because it wont happen.

That was in quite a pleasant manner Step, mine would be 'he's a C*nt' ;)

and bad grammar

;)

As much as we dislike PT, he got us, albeit briefly, to the top of the Premier. Talk about dizzy heights....
Then we played Manure........

Hands up all those that still have the cutting out of the Mercury that shows us TOP!!! :icon_lol:

I know of 1 person that has it framed and hanging on the wall in his office... (Before you ask, I don't have an office ;) )

the only way this thread title could be any fruitier is if you replaced Fella's with Sailors.

no bearing on xsub we all no submariners were never confused.

Peter taylor is a good caoch of football but I dont think he is a manager/man manager.
He would be good as someones second in command but not much else.

Peter Taylor is an excellent coach and I hate to say this but will no doubt prove to be a very good manager, but his problem's at Leicester IMO were as follow's :

1. He followed the club's most successful manager and was on a hiding to nothing.

2. Many of the star player's were distraught when MON left and IMO many would have left at that point, the club in it's infinite wisdom offered them all ridiculous money to stay, these same players then lost their hunger and desire and PT lacked the motivational prescense to get the best out of them.

3. Taylor couldnt attract the players he really wanted to sign, many of his A list targets were snapped up by other clubs and Taylor was left to sign B or C listers and these frankly were gambles that were never going to be successful.

For example :

Michael Ball - Callum Davidson
Carl Cort - Ade Akinbiyi
Lee Hendrie - Matt Jones
John Hartson - James Scowcroft

Just imagine if those 4 original targets had been signed instead of the ones who actually were, could well have been a different story.

4. He tried to juggle too many balls, and the club were as guilty, we got carried away at being top of the league, Taylor had been managing a top flight club for about 3 months when suddenly he is thrust into managing England as well, he couldnt cope, he should have been concentrating on learning in the premier league, what commitment to LCFC did this show and by the time he left the England set up, it was too late the rot had set in.

hmmm, we'd have had a singing leftback that dennis wise might not of slapped, so we'd perhaps not dislike him as much.

i really don't see much difference between carl cort and akinbiyi.

i'm glad we never signed lee hendrie. he's an evil little 5hit in the mold of bellamy.

and fat john.....oh dear. granted he's better than scowcroft. but wouldn't have made a difference.

we'd have still gone down and we'd have been worse off than we were.

in retrospect. Peter Taylor you sir are a CNUT! :icon_lol:

I still believe PT was a cnut, but I was just putting some of it into perspective, and why it went so wrong.

But tbh Rayvon I think you summed it up perfectly.

although I would PM it if I knew how to attach it to the PM! help anyone?
Cue the dumb woman jokes....
