Bound to do well in Pearson's team.

Not massively happy but hey ho what the hell. In Sven we trust.

Would prefer him to have gone to a team further down the league, but I still can't imagine them being higher up the table than us in May.

Good move for him. Not sure it makes sense for us to send him to a play off rival like Hull mind. Bet we will sell him to them at the end of the season if we go up.

Better for him for him to be in a team that's playing well rather than one that's lower in the table, fighting relegation, not playing well and leaking goals.

Sven has made it clear that he still has a future with us so to go out and get his confidence up will be of benefit to all concerned.

Look at it another way: in the next month they play Cardiff, Nottingham Forest and Norwich. A strengthened Hull is more likely to do us good than harm.

I'm sure we will be hearing endlessly about this from the mongies on the call ins, who seem adamant that Sven is ruining the side.

For me, he is 4th, maybe even 5th, choice at the club. Might as well get his wages off the books for a bit.

That all said, he's had a dodgy season, but could well be a premier player under the right boss. He will do well with Pearson. Good luck to him.

Spoke to a Hull fan this morning who wasn't sure this was going to go ahead as Hobbs wanted guaranteed game time which my mate didn't think he would get. Obviously its gone through now, but not sure he'll be a definite starter for them.

I think its good to loan him out to Hull. Hopefully they'll pick up a few points from teams above us (here's where I get told they have no games against anyone in the top 6). If Hull get enough points to over take us then we'll probably not have done enough to get a play off place anyway,

Plenty of games against top 6 teams, see my post #7 .

Seems remarkably dumb to be cheering on Hull, who have put a run together over the last month and look well set to be challenging for a play off spot. Didn't their manager do something similar last year?

I disagree. If we keep winning (which we need to do) we'll stay ahead of the teams behind us. It's the teams ahead of us that we require to lose points. However, I won't be "cheering on" anyone except Leicester.

A quick straw poll among my colleagues here has delivered the consensus that I'm not remarkably dumb.:icon_wink

if we're going for second then yeah...

but more realistically, surely we're aiming for the play off positions that we've never been in all season...

incidentally
19th Feb Leeds vs Norwich
26th Feb Swansea vs Leeds
19th March Swansea vs Forest

hmmm :)
