It was in this mornings Scottish Mirror regarding Holloway, seemed we would only pursue him if we couldn't get Newell.

and what did 'The Oban Times' have to say?

I did say Scottish Mirror Muzzy..do try and pay attention:icon_wink

Are you trying to shit stir Jeff?

Old threads that have no relevance to present activities. Don't you like the man?

Just think it's interesting the way attitudes to him have changed since then.

Does this mean he's changed, or have we lowered our expectations?

Accepted our current plight I think. I was dead against 'Ollie' when he was dumped by QPR for wanting to come here. Now I am quite willing to give him a chance becuase he seems a good prospect next to 'what we could have won'

You could imagine some TB'rs ancestors condemning all and sundry as witches just because.......

Mine haven't, he is still a thug!! Though i have now accepted that i won't be entertained by the football, so therefore, **** it lets watch a scrap and enjoy it!!!

In fairness his Plymouth team don't seem to have had the same cynicism that his QPR team did.

He's done a damn sight better in the last two seasons with Plymouth than any of the plethora of crap we have had have done with Leicester. Plymouth are 7th in the table which is a position we would kill for. He has done all this at a very unfashionable club with next to no money available. He clearly has a strong desire to come and be our new boss, unlike the Royle's or Jewell's of this world. Give him a reasonably attractive club (given the right circumstances), a wealthy owner who will back him and a club with the foundations of being a Premiership club in place (ground, fan base, etc) and he may actually surprise everyone.

One real benefit of Holloway is that the guy really wants to be the boss of our club. At least he is not one of these feckers that has said 'um, thanks but no thanks...'
