Id like to throw another option in here,Lee Hughes.Ive missed very few games this season and he was far and away the best forward we have played against.For all his transgressions outside the game you could see he is a quality forward who has done i at the highest level,and has an opt out clause of only 500k.

From what I have seen Howard has been quality recently. I think he is a top player for the level we are at at present.

Two completely diffrent style of forwards, i think Beckford would clash with Fryatt, also his ego would hamper him in the championship and the tantrums would be frequent, i like Howards composure although hes not as sharp as beckford to the ball i still would chose him first and to be honest he will most likely prove himself more than our Matty next season as Fryatt and Beckford are of simular quality to eachother only diffrence is Fryatts attitude is not of the chav nature.

What rumour? Someone in another thread just said hed like to see us go for Beckford instead of Cox. Theres no rumour of any attempt to actually sign him afaik
