Back To Black

Posted on: Wed 01 Oct 2008

Leicester City supporters travelling to the Galpharm Stadium for the League One clash against Huddersfield Town on Saturday will see their side wearing the new 2008-09 Black Away Kit for the first time.

Over 2,000 fans have already snapped up their tickets for the game - which pitches the in-form Foxes against Stan Ternent's Terriers.

And those supporters will get the first glimpse of the new kit in action - following its release during the summer.

City have enjoyed a near perfect start to the season on their travels - dropping just two points from a possible 12 to date

And boss Nigel Pearson will now be hoping that the good run continues after watching his side battle out a 1-0 victory at Colchester on Tuesday evening.

So if anything goes wrong we know the new kit is jinxed.

only if you believe in that bollax

Well the green and gold version of the one i was wearing on saturday was supposed to be jinxed wasn't it?

I really want to go to this, but i'm on call for work and this could cause problems, should I get a part required from our office. We've not had a callouts on Sat for about 2 months, but I know what will happen as I arrive in Huddersfield.

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions ......

Given the fact that we lack strength in depth in our squad and not having played any of the true promotion contenders and the fact that we don't have a quality striker like whotsisname .. David Bedford. I expect us to lose this game 27 points to 13 with Matty Fryatt scoring a try in the 3rd quarter, but finally having to leave the field LBW in the last over.

I really want to go to this, but if I do I probably lose my home, wife & kids.....

Decisions, decisions...

Don't sacrifice everything Alex, take one of the kids with you.

With these two fit again should NP play them or start them on the bench :102:

Kisnorbo And Mattock In Action

Posted on: Tue 30 Sep 2008
Leicester City defensive duo Patrick Kisnorbo and Joe Mattock made a successful comeback from injury in the Foxes' 3-0 reserve team victory over Rushden and Diamonds at Nene Park on Tuesday afternoon.

Kisnorbo had been out of action since April with a knee injury, while Mattock had been missing since the end of August with an ankle problem.

But both players came through their return match successfully - Mattock lasting 45 minutes and Kisnorbo being replaced on the hour mark.

City goalscorers on the day were Billy McKay, Eric Odhiambo and Robbie Burns.

Speaking after the game, reserve team manager Gerry Taggart said: "It was great to see both Paddy and Joe back in action. It has been a long road back for them, especially for Skip, and to get back out on the park is fantastic for both them and the club.

"We were originally due to play Notts County at our training ground, but they pulled out and we therefore had to arrange another match at short notice.

"Rushden have been fantastic hosts and we have to thank them for coming to the rescue and letting us use their superb stadium at such short notice.
"It was a decent game played at a good tempo. These matches are great for our youngsters and they will certainly come away from here having learnt something today."

City: Pentney, Magunda, Garner, Kisnorbo, Mattock, Odhiambo, Cox, Beswick, Porter, McKay, Sappleton.

Just need Dj for the weekend to give us the striker option we have been missing IMO.

i wouldnt stick either on the bench they need a few more reserve games under their belts first
