I think he's been very disappointing. However, my argument looks very weak, in fact close to stupid when you look at his goals per game ratio.

Is it conceivable that he is creating these chances? The way some people think it appears you could put my grandma up front and she would score as many. But you can be rest assured that DJ wouldn't be scoring like this.
