Hume and Horse....

Is that a good enough scoring rate thats 30 goals between the two over a season (roughly) Hume with 18 Horse with 12. That is of course subject to very crude maths and the assumption they'll play every game together next term. Do you think thats a decent enough return from the pairing? It could work if we could get a back-up striker/midfielder weighing in .......unless Toddy arrives, then obviously things would have to change.....

If they did actually do that over the course of the season, then yeah I'd say it would be good enough, but as you say, only as long as we had goals coming in else where.

However those stats are a bit misleading. Of those 8 games, between them they've only scored in 3 games. If you expand that out over the course of the season, then they'd only score in about 17 games between them. Out of a 46 game season, that would be nowhere near enough.

Statistics always depend on how you spin them. 30 goals in a season between them sounds like a pretty good return, but them only scoring in about 1/3 of the games between them is nowhere near enough.

Hume and Horse isn't the solution for next season. I still have hope for Hume and Fryatt as a pairing, but we need a better alternative still.

It would be adequate, but for a team harbouring this new found ambition, then no, and I would be amazed to see Horsfield lining up in a City shirt at the start of next season, in fact I would be surprised if any of the current loan signings start next season with us.
