Agreed. That's about the only thing that has been missing from Elvis's performances. Want to see him score before it starts affecting him. Also got the feeling it might lead to him getting a lot more in the future.

This is the Tranmere side that played against Sc unthorpe in the first round of the League Cup.

Tranmere: Achterberg; Jackson, Sharps, Goodison; Jennings, Harrison, Rankine (Bruce 70), Roberts; Aiston, Greenacre, Davies (Hume 66). Substitutes not used: Wilson, Linwood, Whitmore.

17. A Player shall be considered bona fide if he is registered by his Club with The Football League, in accordance with the provisions of Football League Regulations or in accordance with The Premier League Regulations except that Players registered on a temporary basis will not be eligible to play unless the loaning Club gives its written consent. No player shall play for more than one Club in the Competition in any one Season.

Dunno. But I've just listened to the interview again (on the RL website), and he definitely said Hume will play a part in the game. Maybe he's going to be a ball boy.

It's scary, a bunch of fans with an internet connection know more than the feckin club.

As a rule CL doesn't seem to plan too far ahead. I remember seeing an interveiw with him before the first game of the season where he admited he had no idea who we were playing after the first 3 games.

I do wonder whether CL played Hume for less time on Saturday because he thought Hume could get extra time on Tuesday. :icon_eek:

Does the fact he only came on as a sub make any difference? I always thought it was if you played at all then you're cup tied. But if Levein's saying he will play, maybe he can? He only played 25 minutes? It's a shame if he can't play because of that. If he is cup-tied though, which I imagine he is, then that is a pretty big cock-up by the club really..

Should someone phone the club and let them know that Hume can't play, so at least the team doesn't have to change just before kick off, or we don't get a fine?
