Does the fact he only came on as a sub make any difference? I always thought it was if you played at all then you're cup tied. But if Levein's saying he will play, maybe he can? He only played 25 minutes? It's a shame if he can't play because of that. If he is cup-tied though, which I imagine he is, then that is a pretty big cock-up by the club really..

Should someone phone the club and let them know that Hume can't play, so at least the team doesn't have to change just before kick off, or we don't get a fine? ;)
Im sure Mad Biker could mention it?!

Does he have to play at least 30 mins to be cup tied? just a thought. Would stop clubs just playing someone for 10 mins just before they sold him if they thought they were going to have to play against the player later in the competition.

I'd imagine he just made a mistake. I remember last season just before one game he said he was hoping for someone to play (Tiatto probably) but had found out last minute that he'd gotten 10 yellows so was suspended. So I suspect that CL will be told by someone that Hume is cuptied, no problem.

Didn't a team get into trouble last year because they played someone in a cup competition who had been on the bench (but not come on) for another team earlier in the season?

Can confirm that CL is aware (now, if not before)

:icon_lol: :icon_lol: It is alright Craig, we'll help you out. ;)

maybe craig posts on here and the trust knows that and that is how he now knows? Hmmmmmmm maybe not.

Yeh come on elvis. We dont care if its not a league goal just score one!!:038: :038:

According to Bill Anderson in the Mockery...

"City are likely to revert to two up front with Iain Hume and Elvis Hammond competing for a starting place alongside Mark de Vries as the most obvious attacking ploy."

my dad knows bill anderson from somewhere and he told him that the reason we signed elvis was because he is now on lower wages then what he was on when we were paying his wages when he was on loan-though it thought surely the 300k transfer fee would just even that out :102:
