:icon_redf :icon_cry: Pitiful, ain't it.

By the way, weather nice over there? Still under bright blue skies, hovering around 75F here lads :icon_cool :icon_cool :icon_cool

Sold Out?!? My arse.

After watching Millwall and Norwich during the Xmas period, I have had enough of 'going down to watch em', espically at the weird time of Sunday night, 6.30.

City's form of the Xmas period has even made my Dad not care about em. He said on Sunday he wouldnt if we won 8-0 or lost 8-0.

Im not going either. Partly coz of the kick off time but also partly due to the fact that I dont want to watch us play well again and get completely stuffed instead of just losing by one or drawing. Also partly the fact im skint.

It gives me no pleasure to post this, but I have noticed that some people ( not particularly on this site ) at the same time as asking the club to either spend money they have not got or to hold the directors upside down to shake out their last bit of spare cash, are also those who are not going to the Spurs game because a) the team is playing badly b) they can't be arsed to get out of their armchairs or c) give some sort of message to the Board. Hypocritical fickle boneheads! FFS, we are playing a name club who are 4th in the Prem. Isn't it going to give a great impression of our football club with vast swathes of empty seats, i.e. a bunch of fair weather supporters. It pains me to say this, but if it was F@res*t at home it would be a damned near sell-out. And that, ladies and gentlemen is why Leicester City will always be a small town club. It will not stop me supporting them, but because of the factors I have mentioned, because we do not have a large passionate following who will support their club in person through thick and thin, some people ought to get a sense of perspective. I hope I am wrong, and Sunday's game is well attended, but somehow I doubt it.:( :( :(

To be fair the fact that we nearly always get in excess on 20,000 in the stadium - despite the crap we are playing against and the crap results we're getting says that we are a well supported club. The fact that we sold 16,000 season tickets despite CL saying we wont be trying for the play offs, suggests to me that we are well supported. A club like Blackburn in the premiership has IMO a much worse fanbase than ours, and while I disagree with people staying at home to watch the match instead of going - it still doesn't mean we are poorly supported!

As I've said before, if people don't want to go, fair enough. It's the people who don't go, but still criticise the Board for not shelling out/showing no ambition that p*ss me off.

OH yea, absolutly nothing more annoying than a moaning armchair fan.

maybe it because they have been spending their money, and not got what they wanted?

Maybe some people want the board to take the innitiative before they will spend anymore.

Maybe its because a high profile game is seen as the best chance of getting a message across to the board.

or maybe (as in my case) some people have to work.
