with all of the excitment that is an LCFC football match but me and my mate were talking on the way home and the name that came up that we believe is still avaliable is Duncan Ferguson.

Think about it its not as mad as it sounds. He is nearing the end of his career, he is avaliable for nothing as he was released and we could throw a few grand a week at him. He would not only give us another option up front, but he would also lap up the long balls we seem to love playing. Also the buzz a big name signing like him would generate could onyl help the club in terms of morale and attendences IMHO.

Why not. He is a nutter and a cnut but if he bagged us a few goals I wouldn't mind.

He retired. I think it was Wigan who tried to get him to change his mind.
According to sky sports he was just released no mention of retirement, has this been formly annouced?

Only according to the article I read, which could be wrong of course! However, i don't think it would be a good idea anyway.

I agree with you if that was the intention before they went on the pitch. Dun would have been a great assett. But surely we played well in the later half of last year because we played football not long ball. Do the players not believe in their ability anymore to do this and that is why they have resorted to hoofing it. Don't mind at attempted long passes but object to hit and hope which you can see on any local park without paying.

Why not play McAuley up front if we are going to hoof? :102:

How about we play some bluddy wingers so we can start playing football????!!!!

THAT is where our problems lie

Sight of his style of play in the pre-season seems to evidence the fact that he can only head the ball back in the direction it came from. If he were to play up front, this would undoubtedly cause problems for our already over-worked defence.
