Hume could have lost us the match yesterday. Newton had an easy tap-in if he had squared it to him, but Hume shot weakly at the near post (which the keeper had covered anyway). He missed another easy chance in the first half as well.

I agree with the effort side of his game, but the end product is poor some times. Did he actually work their keeper yesterday?

I do not go along with the 'he can do no wrong' attitude some at the game seem to have, but he is one of the most exciting players we have had in a while, he may stand out more because of the sh*t around him, but if the majority of the squad could show just a quarter of the passion and running Hume has we would not be in the dogfight we are now.
Yes some of the stuff he tries does not come off, at least he tries, and some of the headers he wins can go straight out or to one of their defenders, but FFS he puts himself in the position to challenge and win those headers against giants compared to him.
One thing I did notice on Saturday, he stayed alot more forward in the early part of the game rather than dropping back every time to win the ball.

No I think the people that slag off our better players should get real. Yes I agree that it was a slight over-reaction but it really 'Grinds My Gears' when the players that actually put effort in and contribute to the game get slagged off.

I'm not saying that certain players can do no wrong but there were far worse performers at the previous 2 home games - which I went to - and to berate the better performers is ludicrous.

What the fcuk does it matter that for only 3 out of the past 12 seasons, I have not had a season ticket and you always like to pick up on this fact. I am just as much a fan as anyone.
